En Zamora ya huele a Semana Santa.
Huele a incienso, a cera, a almendras garrapiñadas…
Y sobre todo huele a anís!!
No seáis mal pensados, por Dios, que no es que vayamos toda la semana calle arriba, calle abajo, con la botella de «Anís del Mono» debajo del brazo!
No, no es ese el motivo del olorcillo a anisete.
Los culpables son éstas deliciosas pastas, típicas de la Semana Santa zamorana, y un pequeño obrador del Casco Antiguo, que consiguen que durante estos dias toda la zona de la Catedral huela a anís, y que zamoranos y visitantes asocien irremediablemente la Semana Santa con ese maravilloso olor.
Bueno, también consiguen abducirte, que te olvides de la «operación bikini», de la promesa que te hiciste de no probar más dulces hasta Navidades, y hasta de como te llamas, y te pongas a la cola para llevarte cuarto y mitad de aceitadas recientitas…

¿Queréis comprobar lo bien que huelen las aceitadas mientras se hornean??
Pues tenéis dos recetas a seguir:
La primera.
Ingredientes:
Una maleta
Manolo
Los niños
La abuela
Un vehículo motor (a elegir)
El perro (opcional)
Preparación:
Agarramos la maleta, los niños, la abuela, a Manolo y al perro en caso de haberlo.
Metemos en el vehículo de nuestra elección y ponemos rumbo a Zamora.
El tiempo dentro del vehículo variará dependiendo de lo lejos que vivamos, lo bien que conduzca Manolo y lo «pesaos» que se pongan los niños.
Llegados al destino, nos desplazamos hasta el Casco Antiguo, es fácil, Zamora es pequeña, guiándonos del olor a anís y de las 3.000 personas que siguen la misma dirección. Una vez allí intentamos resistirnos a comprar las aceitadas, a ver si lo conseguís (y ya de paso vemos las procesiones que no es por presumir, pero son dignas de ver)
La segunda opción es preparar vosotros las aceitadas en casa y darle un tambor a los niños para que procesionen con el perro, mientras la abuela lo ve desde el sofá y Manolo maldice por lo bajo porque no puede ver el fútbol…
Dejo a vuestra elección la opción a seguir.

En el segundo caso, la procesión no será lo mismo 😉
Aceitadas zamoranas
Ingredientes:
250 ml. aceite de girasol u oliva suave.
3 yemas de huevo, más 1 huevo para barnizar las pastas
200 gr. de azúcar
500 gr. de harina
60 ml. de anís (o medio botecito de esencia de anís)
2 cucharadas de levadura tipo Royal (polvos de hornear)
Preparación:
Empezamos mezclando la harina con la levadura y la tamizamos en un bol.
Añadimos las yemas y el azúcar y amasamos con las manos hasta que todo quede bien mezclado.
Agregamos el anís y el aceite y mezclamos hasta que se integre.
Trabajamos con las manos hasta que todo esté unido y formamos una bola. La dejamos reposar durante media hora.
Pasado este tiempo vamos tomando porciones de la masa, formamos bolitas de unos 30 gr. y las depositamos en la bandeja del horno.
Realizamos un corte en forma de cruz sobre cada pasta (esto es meramente decorativo, pero muy característico de estas pastas) y las barnizamos con huevo.
Metemos en el horno precalentado a 180º durante 30 minutos aproximadamente, hasta que veamos que están doradas.
Sacamos del horno y ponemos sobre una rejilla hasta que esten completamente frías.
