En todas las familias hay momentos navideños antológicos.
La temática es libre por supuesto, y depende mucho de la gracia de la familia en sí, claro está.
Hay familias en las que el mayor momento de gloria navideño fue aquella vez que casi se mueren de la risa con la «empanadilla de Móstoles» de Martes y Trece (qué buenos momentos nos dieron, por cierto…)
Otras tienen niños artistas, y un poco patosos, que pasarán a los anales de la historia familiar como los que se cargaron la mitad de la vajilla buena de la abuela cuando se empeñaron en bailar «el crusaito de Chikilicuatre» (os acordáis??) justo después de la cena en un salón de 10 metros cuadrados en el que ya había 20 personas….
En mi casa hay dos momentos que recordamos tooooooodas las Navidades (voy a obviar el momento conga por el pasillo con la abuela despatarrada de la risa, que al fin y al cabo tampoco es tan extraordinario, por aquello de que se suele repetir con cierta frecuencia digo…)
El primero de ellos tuvo lugar hace años:
Poneos en situación: Nochevieja, pleno apogeo de las campanadas, la abuela con la boca llena de uvas, sin saber por qué campanada vamos, con un ataque de risa y la cara roja como un tomate. Por otro lado mi sobrina, que entonces era pequeñita, que de repente ve a su abuela y se piensa que se está ahogando… La pobre arrancó a llorar, pensando que su abuela no llegaba al año nuevo!! Y a todo esto, el resto de la familia concentrado en no perder el hilo de las campanadas viendo como lloraba la niña y la abuela-colorada intentaba consolarla sin dejar de comer sus uvas…Ya veis que somos una familia llena de amor, siempre preocupada por el bien del prójimo!!
Y el otro momento es menos divertido, pero muy instructivo.
Fue el año en el que decidimos que queríamos ser una familia tradicional y como Dios manda…
Por eso decidimos que, en Nochebuena, en vez de cenar cosas más ligeras como entrantes variados, unos langostinos (eso sí que no puede faltar) algo de marisco y demás, íbamos a cenar el cordero al horno.
Que total, si lo dejamos para la comida de Navidad al final sobra la mitad, que los chicos salen de fiesta en Nochebuena y se levantan desganaos´, que el cordero recalentao´ no está bueno… Total, que, además de los entrantes, los langostinos y cuatro cositas más, nos metimos el cordero entre pecho y espalda!!
Pues empachaos´!!! Acabamos empachaos´!! Con una pesadez de estómago terrible, sin poder pegar ojo en toda la noche, y sin apenas ganas de comer al día siguiente!!
Y todo para que los chicos (que tienen el estómago de amianto) se levantasen al día siguiente con un hambre de lobo y preguntando si no había cordero…
Así que este año hemos decidido que para la cena mejor comemos pescadito, y dejamos el cordero para el día siguiente…Y si los chicos se levantan desganaos´peor para ellos, a más tocamos los demás!!
Y como mi pescado favorito es el rodaballo, este año nos vamos a lanzar con este rodaballo al horno con langostinos y patatas panadera, que no puede estar más bueno y es super fácil de preparar!!

Y antes de nada desearos que paséis una feliz Navidad…y que no os empachéis!!
Preparación:
Precalentamos el horno a 200º.
Comenzamos pochando la cebolla. Para ello cortamos en láminas más bien finas y la ponemos en una sartén con un par de cucharadas de aceite y a fuego muy suave, para que se vaya pochando muy poco a poco. Removemos de vez en cuando y una vez que la cebolla esté blandita la retiramos del fuego y reservamos.
A continuación pelamos las patatas y las cortamos en láminas de aproximadamente 1 cm de ancho.
Ponemos a calentar abundante aceite en una sartén a fuego medio, salamos las patatas y cuando el aceite esté caliente, pero no humeante, las añadimos a la sartén.
Freímos las patatas a fuego medio durante unos 10 minutos, hasta que estén un poco blanditas, pero sin llegar a estar hechas por completo, ya que terminarán de hacerse en el horno.
Pasado este tiempo, sacamos las patatas de la sartén, las escurrimos bien y las ponemos en una bandeja para el horno con la mitad de la cebolla pochada (podemos ponerlas en la misma bandeja en la que pondremos el pescado, haciendo una cama sobre la que pondremos el rodaballo, o bien en una bandeja aparte, esto al gusto).
A continuación lavamos el rodaballo bajo el grifo, lo secamos un poco y lo ponemos en una bandeja (o en la misma de las patatas) con la parte blanca hacia abajo. Lo salamos y repartimos la cebolla que teníamos reservada sobre él.
Cortamos el ajo en láminas y las repartimos encima del rodaballo.
Llevamos al horno (tanto el rodaballo como las patatas si lo horneamos en distintas bandejas) y horneamos durante 25 minutos.
Mientras se hornea el rodaballo pelamos los langostinos (podemos dejarle las cabezas) y le retiramos la tripa con ayuda de un palillo. Cuando hayan pasado unos 18-20 minutos abrimos la puerta del horno y añadimos a la bandeja del rodaballo los langostinos. Continuamos horneando hasta que se cumplan los 25 minutos.
Sacamos del horno…y a disfrutar!!
Notas :
Lo más cómodo a la hora de hornear es hacerlo con las patatas y el rodaballo en la misma bandeja, ya que además estas se impregnan de los jugos del rodaballo y están más sabrosas, peeeero en casa las prefieren separadas (ya sabéis, manías de cada casa) por lo que os menciono la posibilidad de hacerlo por separado.
En cuanto a los langostinos, me gusta añadirlos sin quitarle la cabeza para que suelten sus jugos mientras se hornean, lo cual hace el plato mucho más sabroso, pero si lo preferís podéis retirarle la cabeza antes de meterlos al horno.
