¡¡Halloween da miedo, mucho miedo!!
Bueno, a ver, no es que den miedo las hordas de brujitas y vampiros que invaden nuestras calles (francamente, y hablando de vampiros, me da mucho más miedo el señor Montoro…)
Tampoco los, cada vez más numerosos, grupos de chavales que te queman el timbre a la hora de la siesta para proponerte eso de «truco o trato» (seamos sinceros, lo más probable es que se asusten más ellos de tí, cuando te vean aparecer por el marco de la puerta con pelos de loca y cara de de furia homicida hacia quien ha osado despertarte de la siesta).
Ni siquiera los fantasmas que van de fiesta en fiesta en busca de una víctima incauta a quien dar la lata media noche (de estos los hay toooodo el año, la verdad).
Lo que de verdad provoca pánico en estas fechas, es esa vocecilla que desde el fondo del pasillo, susurra un aterrador:
-Tengo que llevar al cole un disfraz para Halloweeeeeeeen!!!!
Solo escuchar esa frase ya hace que se ericen los pelillos de la nuca y un sudor frío comience a bajar por la espalda.
Pero el remate final, lo que de verdad provoca taquicardias, dificultad para respirar, MIEDO en definitiva, es cuando esa dulce vocecita remata la frase diciendo:
-Lo necesito para mañanaaaaaa!!!
¡¡Eso sí que es el Apocalipsis!!
Especialmente cuando caes en la cuenta de que son las 8 de la tarde…
Así que ante tí se presenta un panorama desolador de noche en vela, sobredosis de café y Pinterest en vena, a ver si con toda la inspiración que encuentras por allí y la poca gracia que tienes para las manualidades, sale algo que se asemeje medianamente a un disfraz de Halloween de-lo-que-sea para ese encantador ser que convive contigo y que-se-debe-pensar-que-su-madre-no-tiene-nada-más-que-hacer-que-pelar-la-pava-con-el-trajecito-dichoso-a-última-hora-como-siempre…
Si ese es vuestro caso, solo daros ánimos para que la cosa no se alargue mucho!!
Y si esta vez no os ha pillado el toro y tenéis un precioso traje de vampiro colgando del armario, pues igual os animáis a preparar estas magdalenas tan re-bonitas y así celebramos Halloween a todo trapo.
Son unas magdalenas cocinadas al vapor, que además de ser muy tiernas y deliciosas, no cogen color, por lo que podemos utilizar todos los colores que queramos para decorarlas y estos permanecerán inalterables. De hecho ya véis en las fotos que el blanco queda blanco.
Yo os he traído unos ejemplos de dibujos ambientados en Halloween, pero podéis hacerlo con la ambientación que queráis, solo teniendo en cuenta que, cuanto más sencillo sea el dibujo, mejor será el resultado.
Para hacer estas magdalenas solo tenemos que preparar una masa muy sencilla y dividirla en tantas partes como colores vayamos a usar.
A continuación llenamos las cápsulas de las magdalenas con el color de base y metemos el color que vayamos a utilizar para dibujar en una manga pastelera con la punta finita, o en un biberón de repostería.
Y ya solo nos queda realizar los dibujos sobre la masa que tenemos en las cápsulas.
El resultado depende de nuestra habilidad, pero como os he dicho antes cuanto más sencillo sea el dibujo que hagamos, mejor será el resultado.
¡¡Están de miedo!!
Preparación:
Comenzamos tamizando la harina junto con la levadura y la mezclamos con la ralladura de naranja. Reservamos.
A continuación ponemos en un bol los huevos junto con el azúcar y batimos con las varillas eléctricas (o robot amasador) a máxima potencia hasta que la mezcla doble volumen y adquiera un tono pálido.
En ese momento seleccionamos una velocidad lenta en las varillas eléctricas y añadimos la leche a la mezcla de huevos y azúcar.
A continuación, y ya sin varillas eléctricas, incorporamos la mezcla de harina que teníamos reservada, añadiéndola a la mezcla anterior ayudándonos de una espátula de silicona y mezclando lo justo para que esté integrada.
Cuando tengamos lista la masa la dividimos en dos boles y a uno de ellos le añadimos el cacao en polvo y mezclamos suavemente hasta que esté bien integrado.
A continuación llenamos las cápsulas de las magdalenas, hasta 2/3 de su capacidad con la masa que prefiramos (blanca o con cacao) dependiendo del dibujo que vayamos a hacer.
La otra masa la metemos en una manga pastelera, o biberón de repostería y comenzamos a dibujar sobre la masa que ya tenemos en las cápsulas.
Una vez que tengamos los dibujos hechos, vamos a cocer las magdalenas.
Para ello ponemos las magdalenas en una vaporera, la mía en este caso es de bambú, y ponemos a calentar agua a fuego medio en una cazuela con un diámetro similar al de la vaporera. Una vez que comience a echar vapor colocamos la vaporera sobre la cazuela.
Mantenemos la cazuela a fuego medio y dejamos la vaporera sobre ella durante unos 15-20 minutos, dependiendo del tamaño de las magdalenas.
Pasado este tiempo comprobamos que las magdalenas están cocidas pinchando con un palillo, y si están listas, las sacamos de la vaporera y las dejamos enfriar sobre una rejilla.
Notas:
Para preparar estas magdalenas es preferible utilizar cápsulas rígidas, o bien meter las cápsulas de papel en moldes de silicona o flaneras metálicas, para que no se mojen durante la cocción al vapor.
A partir del minuto 15 comprobamos el punto de cocción de las magdalenas, ya que dependiendo del tamaño de estas puede bastar con 15 minutos o, si son muy grandes pueden necesitar 20 minutos.
En esta ocasión hemos aromatizado la masa con ralladura de naranja, pero podéis utilizar ralladura de limón si lo preferís.
Recién hechas estas magdalenas son muy tiernas y esponjosas, pero no soportan bien el paso del tiempo, por lo que si no las vamos a consumir en el día, es mejor que las congelemos.
Aún así, si las guardamos en una bolsa, al día siguiente están bastante aceptables.
Para hacer los detalles más pequeños de los dibujos podemos hacerlo más cómodamente mojando un palillo en la masa y dibujando con él.
Antes de meter las magdalenas a cocer es conveniente eliminar las burbujas que pueda tener la masa para que no suban a la superficie y deformen el dibujo. Para ello lo mejor es que, una vez que esté lleno el molde de la magdalena, le demos unos golpecitos suaves contra la encimera, y veremos que las burbujas suben a la superficie.
Precisamente para evitar que se formen muchas burbujas, lo mejor es que preparemos la masa justo en el momento en que vamos a preparar las magdalenas, ya que a medida que pasa el tiempo las burbujas que se forman son cada vez mayores.
