Una de las muchas virtudes que me adornan es mi afición a las compras.
Cualquiera que me conozca lo sabe, que yo soy adicta pero confesa, aunque si bien hace unos años era el tito Amancio (permitidme la confianza, que medio imperio se lo he levantado yo…) el principal beneficiario de esta afición mía, a día de hoy son los comerciantes del sector gastronómico los que sacan mayor provecho.
Así que últimamente, cuando salgo de viaje, en vez de un plato Recuerdo de Sagrilla de la Carbajosa, soy más de traerme algo con lo que llenar el susodicho platillo, que vajillas ya tengo yo en casa!
De modo que os podéis suponer entonces, el botín que me traje de un reciente viaje a Cáceres…
Pues aparte de un queso riquísimo, y el ineludible pimentón de la Vera, se vinieron conmigo 12 Kilos de cerezas del Jerte. Que sí, que muchas las repartimos, pero cerca de 4 kilitos se quedaron con nosotros…
Y eso sin contar con una cajita de cerezas caseras que tuvieron a bien regalarme!!
Podéis imaginar que a estas alturas me salen las cerezas por las orejas.
Así que para no terminar aborreciéndolas, las estoy utilizando en un montón de recetas.
Una de las que más nos ha gustado es este gazpacho de cerezas, que, si os animáis a probar, os va a sorprender.
Y es que, aunque en principio parezcan sabores que no combinan en absoluto, la realidad es que se complementan a la perfección, con el punto dulce de la cereza, que se aprecia, pero no predomina sobre el resto de los ingredientes.
Delicioso, de verdad.
A nosotros nos ha gustado tanto que ya estamos pensando en comprar otro par de cajas de cerezas para el gazpacho…
Gazpacho de cerezas
Ingredientes:
500 gr. de cerezas
600 gr. de tomates maduros
1/2 pimiento verde italiano
1/2 pimiento rojo morrón
1 pepino mediano
60 gr. de pan del día anterior
200 ml. de agua aprox.
1 diente de ajo
Sal
Vinagre
Aceite de oliva, 4 cucharadas soperas aprox.
Habrá q probarlo! !!
Pues anímate, ya verás como no te defrauda!!
