Yo desde luego no tengo término medio.
O no pruebo un plato en meses, o cuando me da por algo lo preparo a todas horas!!
En casa me conocen de sobra, así que ya procuran tener cuidado y no alabar excesivamente ninguno de mis platos, porque si no corren el riesgo de pasarse las dos semanas siguientes comiéndolo con una frecuencia de día sí y día no (comprenderéis que no me gusta abusar y tampoco es cuestión de preparar el mismo plato todos los días…).
Oye, que parece una tontería, pero si me da por un plato con alioli, puedo acabar arruinando la vida social de todos los miembros de mi familia…(ya sabéis, por aquello del aliento fresco…)
Pero desde luego el plato que no les importa repetir durante todo el verano es el gazpacho!!
Creo que podríamos tomarlo a diario para comer y cenar y no habría ningún tipo de problema.
Excepto uno.
Lo que me cuesta a mi algunos días pasar el gazpacho por el chino para que quede bien finito y sin restos de pieles o semillas!!
A ver, que tampoco es que sea un drama ni la cosa más pesada y complicada del mundo, pero a veces, cuando llevas medio verano haciendo más de 4 litros semanales de gazpacho, pues oye, que termina aburriendo un poco!!
Por eso esta licuadora Pure Juice Pro de Kenwood me ha parecido un pedazo de invento!!
Porque no solo prensa la fruta y verdura en frío, con lo cual no se pierden sus nutrientes , si no que además puedes meter la fruta prácticamente entera en la licuadora y separa el zumo, o en este caso gazpacho, de las pieles y pulpas, con lo que obtienes un gazpacho delicioso y muy ligero de una manera rápida y muy cómoda.
Vamos que estoy encantada con ella.
Además si la utilizas para hacer un zumo de manzana o zanahoria, por ejemplo, puedes aprovechar la pulpa para preparar un bizcocho. ¡Un dos por uno en toda regla!!
Y ahora sí vamos por ese gazpacho de sandía, que en casa les ha encantado, porque sin enmascarar el sabor más auténtico del gazpacho, le da un toque dulce absolutamente delicioso!!
Preparación:
Comenzamos lavando bien los tomates, el pimiento y el pepino y cortándolos en un tamaño que entren bien por las aberturas de la licuadora (en el caso del tomate seguramente no será necesario)
Pelamos la sandía y la cortamos también en trozos.
Ponemos la Juice Pure Pro en marcha y vamos introduciendo la fruta y la verdura en la licuadora, así como también el diente de ajo, hasta acabar con toda.
Veremos que obtenemos un gazpacho sin restos de pieles o semillas.
A continuación y para finalizar sazonamos con aceite,vinagre y sal al gusto.
Personalmente me gusta añadir el aceite de oliva poco a poco mientras bato con la batidora de mano, para que emulsione como si fuese una mayonesa y quede cremoso.
Guardamos en la nevera hasta el momento de consumir.
Si vamos a prepararlo con una batidora tradicional (de vaso o de mano) lavamos los tomates, los pimientos y el pepino y los cortamos en trozos no demasiado grandes.
Pelamos la sandía, le quitamos las pepitas si las tiene, y la cortamos en trozos.
En el vaso de la batidora vamos echando las hortalizas troceadas, la sandía y el ajo y comenzamos a batir.
Batimos hasta que todos los ingredientes estén bien triturados.
Para que el gazpacho quede más fino lo pasamos por el chino, que nos ayudará a eliminar las semillas del tomate y las posibles pieles que pudiesen haber quedado.
Si hubiese quedado demasiado espeso, vamos añadiendo un poco de agua hasta conseguir la consistencia que más nos guste.
Corregimos de sal y vinagre y, mientras volvemos a batir, vamos añadiendo el aceite de oliva en un chorrito fino, lo que hará que quede con una consistencia más cremosa.
Reservamos en la nevera para que esté bien fresquito.
Notas:
Si no os gusta el pepino podéis suprimirlo, lo que dará como resultado un gazpacho más suave.
La cantidad de vinagre es orientativa, es mejor que comencéis poniendo una cucharadita pequeña y aumentando la cantidad si lo consideráis necesario.
